Learning the Positive Physical Approach and understanding its importance in providing care or help with distress. People with dementia are doing the best they can; their behaviors are a result of the condition and are NOT the person’s choice. We are the ones able to choose our behaviors – our residents or loved ones cannot. We are able to make connections by accessing what’s been preserved. This is the how we can best care for the ones we love.
